Data Mining and Premji Amaren

I don't know anything about DATA MINING

 My name is not Premji Amaran it is Prem G Amaran  (American style of Prem Gangai Amaran) . It has been wrongly spelled . So my name becomes a misnomer.

Similarly Data Mining even is a misnomer. It is defined as the process of knowledge acquisition from data so it should be called as Knowledge mining from data but we find that difficult so we refer it as Data mining .

We mine gold and coal from rocks ,sand etc and we call them as Gold Mining,Coal Mining and not as rock mining .We give importance to valuable one which we get and not the place where it is held.
 
 Data Mining is actually a part of knowledge mining ,it even includes a part of pre-processing and various methods .
 
Its nice to see a elaborate discussion of Data Mining from wiki or any suitable resource b'coz I don't want to make this stuff a boring one here.
