Data Mining and Premji Amaren

I don't know anything about DATA MINING
My name is not Premji Amaran it is Prem G Amaran  (American style of Prem Gangai Amaran) . It has been wrongly spelled . So my name becomes a misnomer.

Similarly Data Mining even is a misnomer. It is defined as the process of knowledge acquisition from data so it should be called as Knowledge mining from data but we find that difficult so we refer it as Data mining .

We mine gold and coal from rocks ,sand etc and we call them as Gold Mining,Coal Mining and not as rock mining .We give importance to valuable one which we get and not the place where it is held.

Data Mining is actually a part of knowledge mining ,it even includes a part of pre-processing and various methods .

Its nice to see a elaborate discussion of Data Mining from wiki or any suitable resource b'coz I don't want to make this stuff a boring one here.

QUESTIONAIRE !!!

Mr.Rajaguru shares some of his views ,knowledge over Higher Education abroad. He has been questioned by himself (not in front of a mirror but may be in the washroom).
1.Will you accept the scenario of many students moving abroad inspite of having many prestigious institutions within ourselves ?
Times has published a consolidated list featuring 100 best universities around the world.Out of which 37 of them are there in the United States and 36 of them are there in Europe . Its very pathetic that what we refer as top institutions seldom secured a place even at the bottom of the list. So there is nothing wrong in students seeking for a best university irrespective of their global position.

2.It is said that Europe has been gaining popularity as one of the favourite study destinations in recent days.Is that true?
Yes it is true that Europe has been chosen by many students for their higher education. Students are aware of US several decades ago but Europe has been the recent choice. There are many reasons behind it. First of all the countries(Germany,France,Italy,Norway,Sweden,Denmark,Spain etc etc) in Europe had their own  system of education .After the Bologna process(just know it is and not about that) the countries unified to have their system of valuation as ECTS(European Credit Transfer System) in all their universities.Secondly most universities offer full tuition fee waivers for outstanding students. By and large these factors attracted students all over the world.

3.What about the quality of education in case most of them getting full tuition fee waived ?
It is the human tendency to value something high when you pay a even a penny for it.These universities in Europe are well established .An university in Switzerland named  ETH-Zurich was  established in 1855,it boasts itself for having large number of Nobel Laureates as its staff as well as its students .One among them is Albert Einstein . So these universities can be aptly called knowledge-hubs.

4.What would you suggest a Bachelor's or a Master's degree from abroad?
I would personally suggest that having a Master's from abroad is well and good, after getting your Bachelor's from your own country.

5.What are the entry requirements do these European Universities need?
Almost all the universities require a good band score in IELTS(International English Language Testing System). Some of them may even require you a good GRE scores.

6. Any other interesting fact about Europe ?
Well you get a Schengen Visa allowing you to travel to all of its Sub-ordinate nations. So if you have enough funds you can spend your weekend at Holland.Swiss or Venice.
